Reservation of Accommodation in Trains
Charges for reserved accommodation are in addition to the normal fare on the travel tickets. Accommodation in Trains can be reserved ten days before the intended date of travel at the Berths Booking Office, Colombo Fort Railway Station during the following hours.
Monday to Saturday – 06:00 – 14:30
Sunday and Holidays – 06:00 – 12:00
However if reservations are to be made from outstations, a cash deposit is obtained to secure a reservation from the berths booking office in Colombo, which will be refunded or made use to cover the value of the berth or Sleeperettes ticket upon confirmation of the booking. Attendants in charge of berths and Sleeperettes have no authority to make reservations. Reserved Accommodation is available in the following trains.
